Edinson Cavani put his midweek woes behind him to bag four goals in Paris Saint-Germain's 6-0 thrashing of Caen at Stade Michel d'Ornano on Friday night.
Cavani was guilty of wasting numerous opportunities in PSG's 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night but more than made up for his misses in their Ligue 1 clash against Caen.
The defending French top flight champions dominated the match from start to finish and took the lead as early as the 12 minute through the Uruguayan striker.
They were then awarded a penalty in the 23rd minute and Cavani was once again on hand to double the lead before he complete a brisk hattrick 15 minutes late.
The match was all but decided a minute into first half stoppage time when Thomas Meunier played a delightful ball to Cavani and he scored his fourth of the match.
The visitors didn't take their foot of the gas in the second period and Lucas made it 5-0 in the 67th minute before Jean-Kevin Augustin completed the rout 12 minutes before the final whistle.
