Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that David Luiz will make his first start since rejoining Chelsea on Friday night against Liverpool.
Luiz gets his chance after John Terry suffered an ankle injury which will see the veteran centre-back sidelined for 10 days.
Conte revealed that the Brazil international will start in place of Terry as the Blues and Reds play their first Friday night fixture, at Stamford Bridge.
"John [Terry] strained the ligament of his ankle, the doctor told me after 10 days he could be available to come back. He is working very hard and today he had a training session to recover," Conte told the club's official website.
"Tomorrow, David Luiz will play for the first time with us and we are confident about him."
The Italian has high expectations for Luiz, adding: "We expect him to play very well, we know he's a good player. We are working to put him in the best condition to give us the best of him.
"When new players arrive they need time to adapt to a new concept but tomorrow we need to play David Luiz. He's worked a lot on defensive situations and when we are in possession. I have confidence in him."
