Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri was not too disheartened by the result following his side's 0-0 draw with Sevilla in their Champions League Group H opener.
The two sides played out a goalless draw at the Juventus Stadium and, despite missing a number of chances, the Juve boss explained that his side are still very much in the competition.
Lyon and Dynamo Zagreb make up the group, with the French side recording a comprehensive 3-0 win over their Croatian opponents.
After the game, Allegri said: "We struggled to make any headway before the interval but we improved significantly as the match went on and arguably we should have won it with the chances we made. All that was missing the final touch.
"There are no easy ties in the Champions League so we must not be disheartened. We're disappointed not to have got the three points but we still have plenty of time to recover and of course to reach the last 16.
"For me we could have been better in the way we moved the ball and often the pass to split the defence was missing. I'm not too concerned, I'm confident we'll improve in the necessary areas in time."
Dani Alves and Giorgio Chiellini echoed their manager's sentiment by insisting they need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Alves said: "Tonight we didn't get that break you sometimes require in matches. You need to be psychologically very strong in competitions like these and it's crucial to take advantage of every opening on goal.
"We created plenty of chances and imposed ourselves on the match, but you don't always get the rub of the green. After the break, we had even more opportunities, but Sevilla continued to make matters tough on the night."
Chiellini added: "We created a number of chances in the first half. We managed to regain possession high up the field and also find space in the final third. It's just a pity that we were unable to score before the break."
