Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan says that the club's fans should give more support to the team when club legend Francesco Totti is not on the field.
Totti came off the bench to net a last-minute winner in Sunday's 3-2 win over Sampdoria.
Nainggolan admits that the Giallorossi were an improved side with Totti's second-half introduction, but says the fans can also play their part by giving the team more support when the 39-year-old is not on the field of play.
"I agree that the team in the second half of the match looked like a different team: once Totti came on, there was a completely different enthusiasm on the part of the fans," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I wonder why in the first half, when we were losing 2-1, all you could hear was whistles and boos. It is not easy to play with serenity and confidence in that situation – when Totti came on we felt such a bigger push," added the Belgium international.
