Record-breakers Bayern wary of Rostov

FC Bayern München manager Carlo Ancelotti is expecting to face a well organised defence when his side locks horns with FC Rostov in their Champions League Group D opener on Tuesday.

The Russian outfit have never encountered a German side before, while Tuesday's clash will also mark their debut at the Allianz Arena.

It appears the visitors face a huge challenge – Bayern have won each of their last 12 opening Bundesliga fixtures, which is a competition record.

In addition, if Carlo Ancelotti's side beat Rostov in Munich, they will create a new record by winning 13 home matches in a row.

This will beat Manchester United's previous record of 12 set between 2006 and 2008.

Nonetheless, FC Hollywood manager Ancelotti has warned his side to be wary of underestimating the visitors from Rostov-on-Don.

The Italian, who has won the Champions League on three previous occasions, said: "We've got the potential, the players are good, I'm very pleased with the team.

"The first step is to win the group. They're very well organised, they defend with five players. It's very difficult to find solutions against them.
