Not deterred by leaving Roma, Nigeria U23 marksman Sadiq Umar is keen to make full use of his loan switch to Bologna.
The move sees the 19-year-old remain in Italy's top flight, Serie A, although he may fancy his chances of more regular game-time away from the spotlight of one of the country's biggest clubs.
Umar says he is ready to make the most of his chance at Bologna and will be hoping to make his debut for the club against Cagliari at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday.
"I thank the club for this opportunity. I'm looking forward to it, I hope to be appreciated by the fans," he said, after his unveiling on Thursday.
"Bologna is my big chance to perform at this level."
Umar will be looking to take his Olympic form into Serie A after netting four goals in six games in Brazil last month.
He failed to make a single appearance for Roma last season, having made six substitute showings the season before.
