The agent of Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed his client would have joined AC Milan in the off-season if they had been able to afford his services.
Mino Raoila, who also represents Red Devils duo Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, had no shortage of suitors for client after he departed Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of the 2015/16 campaign.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and AC Milan appeared to be leading the race for his signature, before United swooped with a big-money offer in the latter stages of the transfer window.

However, it seems the former Sweden international could have ended up back at Milan, if the comments by his agent are anything to go by.
"Italy cannot afford him, so we had to work out other plans," Raoila told Mediaset Premium.
"Milan are in his heart, certainly his favourite club in Italy and probably the whole world. But this summer we always worked towards Manchester United."
Ibahimovic has made a strong start to life in Manchester, netting four goals in as many games to help the Red Devils make a 100 per cent start under manager Jose Mourinho in the Premier League.
