Sporting midfielder Adrien Silva insists he remains committed to the Primeira Liga club after seeing his reported move to Leicester City fall through.
The 27-year-old Portugal international had signalled his interest in joining the Premier League champions before Sporting issued a statement that the player was not for sale.
Part of the statement read: "The player renewed his contract in February 2016 in a deal involving significant sums of money, making it absolutely clear that the extension to his contract would mean that Adrien Silva would say at the club until the end of his career."
While the Foxes looked set to meet the player's £21m valuation, Sporting would not budge, with the player now expressing his desire to remain in Portugal and do well for his team.
Silva posted on his Facebook page: "I want to thank all those who support me.
"Winning challenges is part of the DNA of any professional and I am ready to meet those that come.
"Now I am at the service of my country and when I return back to the club for which I have always given everything from my childhood, I will have the same commitment as always with the same ambition and dedication."
