Arsenal have announced the signing of German centre-back Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.
The 24-year-old World Cup winner started his youth career in England with Everton before moving to Italian side Sampdoria for two seasons in 2012.
He left Serie A in 2014 to sign for Valencia and managed two goals from 24 La Liga appearances last season.
The much-anticipated completion of the deal makes Mustafi Arsenal's sixth signing in the off-season after Lucas Perez, Granit Xhaka, and youngsters Rob Holding, Takuma Asano and Kelechi Nwakali.

"He is a very focused player who can play with the ball as well. We have taken a great player but have prepared well for the future."
