Valencia have announced the signing of Spain international forward Munir El Haddadi on a season-long loan deal from La Liga rivals Barcelona.
The 20-year-old has joined Los Che on a temporary deal after Valencia agreed to sell striker Paco Alcácer to Barcelona for an initial fee of 30 million euros, which could rise by a further 2 million euros based on various performance related bonuses.
Valencia will have the option to make Munir's stay a permanent one at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Valencia CF are pleased to welcome Spanish international striker Munir El Haddadi to the club, after a loan agreement for the player was reached today with FC Barcelona.
"The loan deal runs until June 30th, 2017, with an option to buy at the end of the season. Munir will wear the number 9 shirt.
"The new signing is an important reinforcement for the frontline at Valencia CF. Munir El Haddadi is one of the most promising young players in Spanish football and debuted in LaLiga with FC Barcelona aged just 18."
Munir has featured 45 times for Barcelona's first team, bagging 10 goals in the process. He made his Spain debut in 2014, after turning down the advances of Morocco, but is yet to make his second appearance for the Furia Roja.
