Sporting Lisbon have raided the Bundesliga for the second time in as many days by signing Luc Castaignos from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Less than 24 hours after reaching a deal with VfL Wolfsburg to sign Bas Dost, the Champions League participants have agreed terms with the Eagles for the Dutch forward, who spent just one season in the Bundesliga.
Castaignos scored five goals in 22 games last season for Frankfurt after arriving from FC Twente a year ago.
The 23-year-old now has Champions League football to look forward to together with his compatriot Dost in the Sporting attack.
“Eintracht Frankfurt thank Luc Castaignos and wish him all the best for his sporting and personal future,” said a message on the Bundesliga club’s website.
