Injury rules Lloris out for a month

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris has been ruled out for the next four weeks following an injury suffered in their league opener against Everton.

The Spurs captain was substituted in the first-half and went off for a suspected hamstring injury and after several scans and inspection from the club's medical team, it's been confirmed that the France number one goalkeeper will be out for at least a month.

"Our captain left the field during the first half at Goodison Park and our medical team will continue to monitor his progress during his rehabilitation to determine when he will be ready to return to training," read a statement on the club's official website.

LLoris is widely considered as one of the best goalkeepers in European football and has kept 57 clean sheets in 169 games since joining the English Premier League side from Lyon in 2012.
