Utrecht head coach Erik Ten Hag says their 2-2 draw against Heereveen at the Abe Lenstra Stadion felt like a loss.
Ten Hag claims the home side's equaliser should not have stood claiming his keeper Robbin Ruiter was fouled before the goal was scored.
"There is nothing unclear about the equalizer it should not have stood because it is quiet clear that Robin Ruiter's hand gets pulled back by Jerry st Juste," he toldNOS.
"I think all in all we played a decent game although we certainly did not start well and rightly deserved three points but we did not get them.
"I thought we reacted well to going 1-0 down and then we went on to control and dominate the game until the corner which lead to their goal. This draw feels like a defeat but we have our first point of the season."
Utrecht will be hoping to find their first three points when they face AZ Alkmaar next week Sunday.
