Leicester City skipper Wes Morgan has admitted the Foxes will have to repeat the heroics of last season's title success if they are to prove their doubters wrong.
Following the appointment of former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri ahead of the 2015/16 season, both fans and pundits raised doubts over whether the newly-promoted Foxes would be able to steer clear of relegation.
However, Leicester went on to claim a historic Premier League title by defying the odds and holding off a sustained challenge from Tottenham Hotspur.
That being said, there are some lingering doubts over whether Leicester's title triumph was just a flash in the pan, while they will no longer have the element of surprise on their side.
"We have to show what we can do and prove to everyone it was no fluke last season," Morgan told reporters.
"We're here to stay at the top. It's going to be exciting for the neutrals and I can't wait for it to begin.
"Everyone saw what we could do last season. Teams will be better prepared for us and be aware of our strengths and try to nullify that as much as possible. We will try to find different solutions to the problems.
"We definitely want to emulate what we did last season. To taste that success, get that glory, we want it again and I would say we're even more eager to get it again."
Leicester kick off their Premier League title defence with a trip to newly-promoted Hull City on Saturday afternoon, in the opening game of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
