Bournemouth v Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be looking for revenge when his side travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth on Sunday.

Mourinho suffered defeat to the Cherries in what proved to be his second last match in charge of Chelsea before he was sacked last season and he will be eager to get his own back with a powerful looking United squad this weekend.

The Red Devils struggled for goals last term and have strengthened their attacking options with the additions of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba.

Despite the fact United finished fifth last season, they are seen as serious title contenders after appointing Mourinho as their manager and the signing of the three players mentioned above.

Bournemouth on the other hand only just survived relegation, but have also made some astute acquisitions in the off-season.

Both sides will be desperate to get the campaign off to a positive start but ultimately have aspirations at opposite ends of the table and the Red Devils will be disappointed if they don't win on Sunday, while the Cherries would likely settle for a draw.

Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan are expected to start the match after impressing in pre-season, but there are doubts over the fitness of Pogba, who is yet to turn out for United in pre-season.

Bournemouth have a fully fit squad to choose from, which they hope will remain the case after they suffered dearly from a spate of injuries last term.
