FC Bayern München captain Philipp Lahm has welcomed the return of a number of the club's major stars who were unavailable during the pre-season trip to the United States.
The likes of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Kingsley Coman and Renato Sanches have rejoined the squad following an extended break due to their participation at Euro 2016.
The absence of the internationals meant Bayern took a slightly under-strength squad on their tour of the States. The Bundesliga champions suffered a 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in their final outing on Wednesday.
Carlo Ancelotti's squad has since returned home and will resume their pre-season preparations on Friday, with a practice session at their headquarters in Munich.
Lahm welcomed the news of the team's return to full strength, telling the club's official website: "These lads contribute immense quality, even more quality than we already have, so we'll be delighted when they're back."
Ancelotti's first assignment in the Bundesliga as Bayern manager is a home game against SV Werder Bremen on August 26.
