Marseille have announced that Florian Thauvin has returned to the Ligue 1 club on a season-long loan from Newcastle.
The 23-year-old winger joined the Magpies in 2015 in a £12 million deal, but only made 12 appearances before heading back to Stade Velodrome in January, featuring 16 times for the French outfit.
L'OM have now completed a second loan move for the former France youth international, who will remain with the club for the duration of the 2016/17 campaign.
Marseille sporting director Gunter Jacob told a press conference: "I'm very pleased with this agreement in principle with Newcastle this morning for the arrival of Florian Thauvin.
"It's necessary that we might be more creative than other clubs to keep to the budget that I've been entrusted with."
A statement from the Championship side read: "Everyone at St James' Park wishes Florian well for the future."
