Cagliari have signed striker Marco Borriello and midfielder Simone Padoin ahead of their return to Serie A.
The Sardinian club last played top-flight football in the 2014-15 season, spending just one year in Serie B before their return.
And ahead of the new season, coach Massimo Rastelli has snapped up some experience in the form of veteran frontman Borriello on a one-year contract, with the option of a second season, as well as 32-year-old Padoin from Juventus.
Borriello, who has seven Italian national caps to his name, has played for the likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Roma, and joins the club following his release by Atalanta.
A statement on the Cagliari website read: "The striker has signed a contract that binds him to the Rossoblu for one season with the option of a second."
Former Vicenza and Atalanta midfielder Padoin, meanwhile, has signed for Cagliari from Juventus, where he has spent the past four seasons.
Padoin has reportedly signed for Cagliari for 600,000 euros.
