Green: Tomorrow is another day

FC Bayern München attacker Julian Green is refusing to get carried away after netting a hat-trick in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup.

The USA international has yet to make his competitive debut for the Bavarians after a less-than-successful loan spell at Hamburger SV in the 2014/15, where he made just five appearances in the Bundesliga.

However, if his match-winning performance in Saturday's fixture is anything to by, Green is ready to put a tough two-year spell behind him.

He is acutely aware that he will not be able to produce at such a high level in every time he takes to the pitch, and says he is only focused on continuing to improve.

"That's soccer – one day it's not so good, the other day it's better," Green told reporters after the match at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"As a striker, it's always important for me to score. But it's one game. I scored three goals today, I'm very happy about it. Tomorrow is another day."

Green has represented the senior United states national team on six occasions, scoring one goal in the process.
