Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph is impressed by Pep Guardiola and says the whole squad has been enjoying playing under the Spanish tactician.
The former Aston Villa man praised the new manager for his different approach to football and is convinced the new boss will be a success at the club.
“Every manager has their own methods, their own systems of play – there’s no two alike,” Delph told the club’s official website.
“I believe we’ve got the best manager in the world here at City – already in the first two to three weeks I’ve been so impressed with what we’ve been doing – the different systems, the intensity of training, his man management skills – it’s been brilliant for me.
Man City are set to take on their Manchester rivals in China at the 2008 Olymipic stadium in their second pre season fixture.
Delph is already seeing a change in management styles at the club under Guardiola.
“It’s so intense – high pressing, very energetic. it’s been tough but it’s been very, very good.”
Desipte having lost to German champions Bayern Munich in their first pre-season game, the City midfielder is optimistic about the future of the club.
Fabian added: “It was our first game, because of that we’re trying to implement the systems we’ve been working on.
“It’s not going to happen overnight but the boys are switched on and eager to impress the new manager – we’re all really enjoying our football.”
The Citizens take on cross-town rivals Manchester United at the Bird’s Nest Stadium on Monday, 25 July.
