Rodriguez wants to stay at Madrid

James Rodriguez has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid even though an €85 million offer was made for him.

While it remains unclear which club made the offer, it has been reported that Manchester United are interested in acquiring the 25-year-old’s services.

Despite this, Rodriguez is intent on staying with the Champions League winners even though he has struggled to secure a spot in the starting line-up.

“I’m going to fight to earn a place in Madrid. That’s my dream,” the Colombia international told Marca. “I’m going to stay with Real Madrid, I’m going to triumph here. I know the club have had an offer of €85 million for me, but I’m not leaving.”

Rodriguez, who joined Madrid from Monaco for a reported fee of £63 million in July 2014, scored eight goals and notched up 10 assists in 32 games in all competitions last season.
