Max Eberl has denied that he will leave VfL Borussia Monchengladbach to take over the vacant director of sport position at FC Bayern München.
The position at the Bundesliga Champions opened up last week after Matthias Sammer stepped down from the position, citing health concerns as the reason for his inability to carry out the role to the best of his ability.
“There is no such thing as a conditional tense in football,” Eberl told reporters when asked if he was interested in the job.
“I’m just focusing on the here and now. That is Monchengladbach.”
The 42-year-old joined Die Fohlen in 2008 and currently still has four years running on his contract with the club.
