Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling says the impact Kevin De Bruyne has had on the English club is similar to what Luis Suarez had when he was at Liverpool.
Belgian forward De Bruyne has had a sensational start to the season at Manchester City since he joined from Wolfsburg, scoring nine times and providing eight assists to his teammates so far this campaign.
Sterling, who also moved to City at the start of the season, played with Suarez at Liverpool when the Uruguayan almost single-handedly won the league title for the Merseyside club in the 2013-14 season, scoring 31 goals.
The Reds fell short of the of winning the coveted trophy, by two points, before Suarez earned his dream move to Barcelona, helping them to win the treble last season.
"He's a top player," Sterling said of De Bruyne. "He's someone that gets in and around the box and creates and scores goals.
"Is he like Suarez? Yes, most definitely. Every top team needs a player who scores and assists goals so regularly like Kevin does. It's most important.
"With Suarez, you knew once he got in and around the box, you knew what he was capable of doing, usually it ended with a goal. It's the same with Kevin."
