Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes admits the imminent signing of Al Ahly winger Ramadan Sobhi is something the club is excited about.
A transfer fee and contract has already been agreed for the Egypt international, who just needs to undergo a medical in order for the Potters to make the signing official.
Scholes feels Sobhi has the potential to become a household name in Europe but warned fans to not expect much from the teenager straight away.
"He's regarded as a special talent in Egypt," Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke. "To be a regular in the national side for 12 months at just 19 shows the quality of the player.
"He's got undoubted skills but we have to remember his age and he's coming from a different country and a different culture.
"He has got to have time to settle but he's one for the future and one we're excited about."
Sobhi has scored 14 goals and registered 13 assists in 67 appearances since graduating from the Al Ahly academy.
