FC Bayern München defender Mats Hummels reveals the reason he made the controversial move to the Bundesliga champions from rivals Borussia Dortmund was to win trophies.
Hummels was part of the Dortmund side that won the German top flight in 2011 and 2012, but has been trophyless since then, with the Bavarians dominating the local scene.
In Europe, Dortmund were runners-up in the 2012/13 Champions League, which they lost to Bayern, and Hummels is specifically targeting glory in the continent's elite club competition.
"I want to win titles," Hummels told Sport Bild. "After the European Championship, which we, unfortunately, did not win, the Champions League is now one of my main goals.
"If I win the Champions League, I will have exceeded all my expectations and dreams. It is a major challenge for me.
"Bayern have come incredibly close to winning the Champions League again in recent years. That's why we have a big opportunity to fight for the title in the next few years."
