Monaco have confirmed the signing of veteran goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis on a one-year deal from Roma.
The well-travelled 39-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Giallorossi, where he made 79 appearances, while he has also turned out for Pescara, Juventus, Udinese, Sevilla, Galatasaray and Napoli in a lengthy career.
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev welcomed the capture of De Sanctis and highlighted the Italian's vast experience as a major beneficial factor for the Ligue 1 club.
"We are very happy to welcome Morgan De Sanctis, who this season will provide AS Monaco with the benefit of his experience of the highest level," Vasilyev told the club's official website.
De Sanctis is relishing the prospect of challenging for league honours at the Principality next season.
"It is an honour to sign for AS Monaco," he said. "They are a big club in the French league and I am looking forward to helping the team achieve its targets this season."
