Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Paris Saint-Germain left-back Lucas Digne on a five-year deal, ending the player's loan stint at Roma.
As expected, Digne's excellent showing in the Serie A with Roma has resulted in a recall for the player and a move to a higher-profile club.
A Barcelona club statement read: "FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain FC to sign the 22-year-old French player Lucas Digne for the next five seasons.
"Barça have paid an initial 16.5 million euros with another four possible according to individual and team results. Digne’s buy out clause is 60 million euros."
Digne grabbed the attention of the Ligue 1 champions after showing much promise at Lille. In 2013 Laurent Blanc brought him to Paris for a fee of €10m.
Digne made only 30 appearances for PSG, though, and was loaned out to Roma last season, where he was a first-team regular and played an important role in the Giallorossi's late-season revival.
Luciano Spalletti campaigned for the player to remain in Rome for another season, but PSG opted to recall him ahead of his transfer to the Champions Leage and La Liga winners.
