Schalke 04 midfielder Dennis Aogo says the team will "expect a fight" when they take on Hannover 96 at Veltins-Arena on Friday.
The Royal Blues have not won in their last five matches, including three defeats in which they have shipped three goals, but Aogo is hoping that home comforts will see them past the Reds.
"There is no easy opposition in the Bundesliga," he told his club's official website. "We will not underestimate Hannover and expect it to be a difficult game, the kind that may be decided in the final minutes.
"Hannover won in Hamburg, Cologne and also drew against Wolfsburg. It's clear that they are not a team you can walk over. We haven't conceded a goal in any of our last five home Friday night games. Ideally it will stay that way after six.
"It's up to us to win the next three games before the winter break, but the first task is Hannover. I don't want to think too far ahead.
"Augsburg and Hoffenheim come after this weekend, on which we can set the bar high for the rest of the matches before Christmas.
"What's important is where we are at the end of the season. We just have to be within reach at the winter break."
