AZ Alkmaar technical director Max Huiberts says Tottenham are tough negotiators following the transfer of Vincent Janssen to the Premier League club.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has often been dubbed as one of the most shrewd negotiators in the English game and his reputation has been enhanced after securing a £17 million deal for the Netherlands international, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
Although Huiberts admitted it was a difficult transfer saga, he remains content with securing the highest-ever transfer in AZ's history for last season's Eredivisie top scorer.
"Tottenham is a tough negotiator, but we are very satisfied with the end result," he told the club's official website.
"On the one hand, AZ are proud of this transfer, but on the other hand, it is unfortunate that we lose a player of this calibre and with this personality. However, we wish him every success in London."
