Bayern Munich have been handed an injury boost ahead of the new season as defender Dante returned to training on Monday.
The former Brazil international picked up a muscle injury while playing beach football during his off-season break.
Bayern reported that the 31-year-old joined the rest of the squad for a 45-minute session, before doing some strength and conditioning work with fitness coach Andreas Kornmayer.
While Dante will not partake in the Audi Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday, his return could see him come into contention for Bayern's DFB-Pokal clash against Nottingen on Sunday.
Holger Badstuber, though, is set to remain sidelined with a muscle injury until late August, while Javi Martinez, Franck Ribery and Jan Kirchoff are all still out.
Arjen Robben and Douglas Costa are also doubts for the Bundesliga season opener against Hamburger on August 14.
