Mario Gotze feels he could yet prove his worth at Bayern Munich, if manager Pep Guardiola communicates with him more frequently.
The Germany international joined the club from Borussia Dortmund two years ago, but has struggled to make an impact at the Allianz Arena.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a departure in the current off-season, with Juventus, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all monitorting his situation at Bayern.
And Gotze admitted that he had endured a difficult spell at the club, but is hopeful that the move could still work out.
"The last two years were definitely not very simple, we'll see what happens," he told reporters following Bayern's 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Audi Cup on Tuesday.
"It will work out if Guardiola talks to me more often. I'm going to let everything come to me. Anything beyond that, we'll see."
