Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted at one more signing in the current transfer window after revealing he would like to bring in a new left-back.
The Blues boss is expected to field César Azpilicueta at left-back for the London outfit's Premier League curtain raiser against Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
This after the Portuguese tactician sanctioned Filipe Luis' return to former employers Atletico Madrid following just one season at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the assembled press after signing a new contract, Mourinho said: "We need a left-back, the board knows that and my feeling is that we are going to have one."
However, Mourinho did not comment on the ongoing speculation over the future of Everton centre-half John Stones, who is a confirmed transfer target for Chelsea.
The Blues boss was also quizzed on whether striker Diego Costa would be able to shrug off his hamstring problems in time to feature against the Swans.
Mourinho was hesitant to give a definitive answer to the question, though, saying: "I don't know, I promise you.
"I think he'll train. His reaction to that and confidence to play is another story.
"When he plays, he's [equivalent to] 1.5 [strikers], he compensates.
"I prefer a top player who is sometimes injured, than one who is always available but only a bit better than me."
