FC Bayern München manager Carlo Ancelotti has sent the rumour mill spinning after publicly praising England and Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier.
The Three Lions suffered a bitterly disappointing European Championship campaign after being knocked out in the round of 16 by minnows Iceland, but Ancelotti was still impressed with the performances of both Alli and Dier.
"As an Italian you will wonder if I can empathise with what those of you who support the Three Lions are going through," Ancelotti told the Telegraph.
"But really, it is not as bad as you think. Let me tell you one thing: this England team has a lot of potential.
"I like these young players that Roy Hodgson picked. I think Eric Dier has been one of the best players in the tournament.
"Dele Alli will be playing Champions League football next season and he will be one of the best young players in the competition."
The pair were also instrumental for Spurs in the Premier League last season, where they finished third and both players seemed to flourish under head coach Mauricio Pochettino and his high energy, all-action style.
