PSV defender Jeffrey Bruma is close to completing a move back to the Bundesliga with VfL Wolfsburg.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the two clubs have agreed a a fee for the former Chelsea academy graduate and he will be presented at the Volkswagen Arena next week, subject to a medical.
The transfer fee reported is close to the 15 million Euros asking price set by the Eredivisie champions, but a third of the amount will be owed to the Blues due to a contractual clause set when he left the Premier League giants.
Bruma is comfortable in centre-back, right-back or in defensive midfield and will replace veteran defender Naldo, who recently joined domestic rivals FC Schalke 04 on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old made 40 appearances for Hamburger SV during a two-year loan period before joining Phillip Cocu’s side and leaves the Philips Stadion after helping PSV secure consecutive league titles.
