Lafferty: We can go all the way

Northern Ireland forward Kyle Lafferty is confident that his team can go all the way in Euro 2016 – provided they defeat Wales in the last 16.

Michael O'Neill's men have enjoyed an indifferent European Championship campaign thus far; they beat Ukraine 2-0 but suffered 1-0 defeats to both Poland and Germany.

Lafferty admitted Saturday's clash at Parc des Princes is going to be tough but feels that, with a bit of luck, Norn Iron can go on to defeat their bitter rivals.

"It's going to be a tough game against Wales, they've got some world-class players but with our heart and determination we honestly believe that we can go on and beat anyone," the 28-year-old told the Belfast Telegraph.

"With the squad of players that we have, I'm honestly sitting here believing we can go the whole way. It might take some luck along the way but every team in the world is due some luck at times. I believe if we can get a bit of luck we can go all the way. We'll upset a few teams."
