Premier League newcomers Watford have announced the signing of Alessandro Diamanti on a season-long loan from Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 32-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Chinese Super League outfit in 2014 and helped them win the league title in his first season at the Tianhe Stadium.
Diamanti returned to his homeland in January this year to link up with Fiorentina for the second half of the 2014/15 campaign, scoring two goals in 11 Serie A appearances.
The former Italy international, who has previous Premier League experience with West Ham, where he spent the 2009/10 campaign, becomes Hornets boss Quique Flores' 12th signing since replacing Slavisa Jokanovic at the helm during the off-season.
Diamanti is awaiting international clearance before he can be considered for Saturday's top-flight visit of Southampton.
