Zlatan Ibrahimovic has thanked Sweden fans after seeing his international career come to an end at Euro 2016.
The 34-year-old, who is expected to join Manchester United on a free transfer this summer, played his final game for Sweden as they crashed to defeat against Belgium in their final group game in France.
However, never one to do anything quietly, Ibrahimovic posted a message on his official Facebook page thanking fans for their backing over the years.
“I came from this place people call "ghetto Rosengård", conquered Sweden and made it my country,” he wrote.
“My way. I am Sweden. A huge thank you to the Swedish people – without you I would never have been able to fulfil my dreams.
“You will always be in my blue and yellow heart. I love you.”
