Eriksen set for new Spurs deal

Tottenham will reportedly offer Christian Eriksen a new and improved contract to ward off interest from Italian champions Juventus.

The Old Lady are seeking a replacement for midfielder Arturo Vidal following his departure to Bayern Munich last month, and Danish media suggests an approach has been made to Spurs.

The Denmark international still has three years left on his contract at White Hart Lane and played a key role under new manager Mauricio Pochettino last season, playing all 38 Premier League games and scoring 10 goals.

Pochettino is therefore keen to keep hold of Eriksen and the north London club are believed to be readying a new deal for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder in a bid to fend off Juve's advances.
