Icelandic commentator loses it after last-minute goal

Let’s be honest, we are all guilty of letting our emotions get the better of us during sporting events, but this Icelandic commentator took it to a whole new level when Iceland scored a dramatic last-minute goal to see off Austria 2-1.

Jon Dadi Boedvarsson opened the scoring for Iceland in the 18th minute before Austria had a chance to bring themselves level after being awarded a penalty in the 37th minute. Alexander Dragovic stepped up to take the spot kick, but failed as score as his shot struck the outside of the upright.

Alessandro Schoepf levelled things in the 60th minute, but Arnor Ingvi Traustason found the back of the net in stoppage time to spark wild celebrations on and off the field, including the commentary box as the Icelandic commentator so hilariously proved.

Iceland’s 2-1 win was enough to send the debutants into the knockout stages of Euro 2016, where they will face England in Nice on Monday.
