Norwich City’s record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel could finally end his nightmare stay at the club, amidst rumours of interest from Feyenoord.
According to Dutch Football website FR12, the 27-year-old is wanted by Feyenoord head coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst to lead his line in the Eredivisie next season.
The lanky striker was touted as the next Dutch sensation upon his reported £10.5 million transfer from Sporting Lisbon in 2013, but only scored one league goal for the club before being shipped out on loan to Saint-Étienne and Real Betis over the past two seasons.
With only one year left on his current deal with the Canaries, it seems likely the manager Alex Neil would be happy to let one of the club’s highest earners leave in a cut-price deal.
The Netherlands international scored 45 goals in two seasons for Sporting Lisbon before his ill-fated spell in English football.
