Bayern München midfielder Mario Gotze is hopeful head coach Pep Guardiola will extend his contract at the club before the end of the season.
The Spaniards contract at the Allianz Arena expires at the end of the campaign and he is yet to commit to a new deal.
Amid all the uncertainty of his future, Guardiola has been linked with all the biggest clubs in Europe, particularly Manchester City.
And Gotze, who is currently sidelined with a groin injury, admits he has no idea whether Guardiola will stay at the Bavarian club, but is certainly hoping he does.
"You can't look into his head. The coach and the club have to decide. It's difficult to give a prognosis," he said.
"We would be happy if he stayed. He's got a philosophy that suits us very well and that's why it would be a good thing if he stayed."
