England international and Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford says he is excited to be competing at his first international tournament with the Three Lions.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a stellar debut season with the Red Devils and was joined by captain Wayne Rooney in an exclusive interview with FATV ahead of the team’s opening fixture against Russia on Saturday, June 11th.

“I think it’s a good way to end the season for me, and hopefully, we get some joy in the tournament,” Rashford said.
“It doesn’t seem real when you look back at it. [At Christmas] I was actually trying to work my way into [United’s] under-21s side and all of a sudden I appeared in the first team, you have to be ready when your chance comes.”
Having been named in Hodgson’s final 23-man squad for this summer’s finals, Rashford added to his fairytale story, when he netted on debut within first the few minutes of England’s 2-1 friendly win against Australia.
“To be honest, I wasn’t really thinking about the England set-up as much because obviously at United there was a lot of games coming thick and fast so all of my focus was on those games,” he added.
Rashford will be looking add to his already impressive tally of records, having scored on both his full Premier League debut as well as on his Europa League and international debuts.
“At the end of the season you hear talk and stuff, but to be here now is just amazing. For it to be in my hands to go out and help the country is an amazing feeling,” Rashford concluded.
