Borussia Dortmund press officer Sascha Fligge has made it clear that star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be plying his trade at another club next season.
Fligge’s comments come after reports in the English press linked Aubameyang with a move to Premier League giants Manchester City.
Reports suggested that City have already opened talks with Dortmund and are eager to bring the Gabon international to the Etihad Stadium.
It is also understood that Dortmund have asked for €75 million, but Fligge insisted that the reigning Bundesliga Player of the Year will not be going anywhere.
“We don’t know anything about this story,” he told DPA. “And we will not comment on every wild transfer rumour this summer.”
In addition to the Citizens, Aubameyang has also been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Manchester United.
