Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez is confident star striker Neymar will sign a lengthy contract extension with the club in the near future.
Neymar's current deal is only set to expire in 2018, but Barca have been engaged in protracted talks over an extension for most of last season.
The negotiations have been going on for so long, it has led to speculation the Brazil international may look to force a move to another club that is willing to give him a more favourable deal, but Fernandez has rubbished the rumours by categorically stating Neymar will pen a new deal.
"Neymar will stay," he told the club's official website. "He will reach an agreement with Barca and he will be here for a long time. The club will make it public when the extension is to be made."
The 24-year-old scored 31 goals in 48 games on his way to helping Barcelona to a Primera Liga and Coppa del Rey double last season.
Another player who has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou is midfielder turned central defender Javier Mascherano, who has attracted the attention of Juventus in recent weeks, but Fernandez was again adamant he would not be leaving either.
"We are clear. We will reach an agreement. He is a vital player for us and I don't have any doubts about whether he will stay."
