Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen has dismissed reports claiming he's Napoli-bound, insisting he will remain in Amsterdam until hearing otherwise.
The Serie A runners-up have made no secret of their intention to sign the 23-year-old and it is believed that negotiations between the two clubs has reached a stalemate due to the Dutch club's €25 million asking price.
Despite the reported impasse, Gazetta dello Sport suggested on Wednesday that Klaassen's agent, Soren Lerby, and the Partenopei have a good working relationship; one that could potentially break the deadlock.
However, when asked about these reports, the Netherlands international was extremely clear that he was not aware of any such discussions regarding a deal.
"The Napoli talk is nonsense," Klaassen told Telegraaf. "I'll continue to play here, unless the club come to tell me something different. But I have no doubts."
Klaassen played 31 league matches for Ajax this past season, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.
