Peter Hyballa has confirmed he'll leave Bayer Leverkusen's U19 squad at the end of the season to take over as head coach at Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen on a two-year contract.
Hyballa first joined Bayer 04 in 2014, serving as assistant to then manager Sascha Lewandowski, helping to achieve qualification for the Champions League.
The 40-year-old's final game in charge will be the final of the Middle Rhine Cup against FC Köln U19's on Wednesday, 18 May.
"It will be an interesting and exciting challenge to be able to work in my mother country. I definitely wanted to work with a first team again and I'll give my all for NEC," he told the club's official website.
NEC Nijmegen finished tenth in the Eredivisie this term just missing out on the play-offs for a place in the Europa League.
