BVB Dortmund defender Erik Durm will be sidelined for six weeks after undergoing surgery on his knee.
The 23-year-old, who has not yet featured for Thomas Tuchel's side this season, went under the knife on Wednesday.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the club said: "Borussia Dortmund left-back Erik Durm was today operated on. Dr Jurgen Eichhorn removed inflamed tissue from the knee of Durm during surgery."
The full-back, who played for Dortmund 28 times in all competitions last season, has been capped seven times by Germany.
