Liverpool unveil new kit

Liverpool have unveiled their new home strip for the 2016/17 season, one that stays true to the Reds’ traditions.

With the current Premier League campaign reaching its conclusion this week, some clubs are already looking ahead to next season, and that means the unveiling of new kit. Liverpool are one of the first to do so, launching their 2016/17 home kit at an event on Monday night.

As was the case this season, the kit is made by New Balance and is sponsored by Standard Chartered. The kit is in traditional Liverpool red with gold logos, and gold trim around a two-button collar. The shorts are also red with gold logos. Simon Mignolet and others who will stand in the Liverpool goal will wear a lime green jersey with black shoulders and white logos.

The kit features a number of unique touches that add to the experience…

Including a tribute to the 96 fans who died in the Hillsborough tragedy…
