West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis does not believe Saido Berahino will ever join Tottenham after their unsuccessful pursuit of the striker.
The 22-year-old was denied a move to White Hart Lane during the transfer window as Spurs refused to meet the Baggies' valuation of the England U21 international.
On deadline day a frustrated Berahino threatened to never play for West Brom again, but has since returned to training and is expected to feature against Southampton on Saturday.
And Pulis believes it is unlikely that Spurs will ever attempt to sign Berahino again after their off-season dealings with the Baggies.
"Personally I don't think Tottenham will ever come back – I don't think that will happen," he said in his pre-match press conference.
"There are other clubs out there who if they're interested, they're interested, but I'm sure Saido will deal with it in a different way to how he did this time.
"I just think most probably the two clubs have tried to do a deal and it's not worked and not happened. I don't see Daniel [Levy, Tottenham's chairman] coming back to try to sign Saido again. I might be wrong.
"It is not anything. It's just my feeling. I just don't see Daniel coming back."
