Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has offered his backing to goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, despite two costly errors against Bordeaux on Friday.
The stopper failed to deal with a simple Henri Saivet header after Edinson Cavani had Les Parisiens ahead early on. Cavani netted his second to restore the lead, however, Trapp was punished for hesitating on a backpass as Wahbi Khazri stole in to restore parity.
Blanc, though, says he will keep faith in the off-season signing from Eintracth Frankfurt for Tuesday evening's Champions League tie against Malmo.
"The Bordeaux goalkeeper also made a mistake. Keepers make mistakes," Blanc told beIN Sports after the game on Friday evening.
"He is a keeper who has a philosophy that is similar to mine. When you takes risks, any uncertainty can lead to a goal.
"But I hope he has the personality to do the same again next time, only with more efficiency, and that could be as early as Tuesday."
